After creating her first digital drawings in 2011, artist and owner Shawn Sargent could imagine her colorful characters and vibrant patterns on everyday products. Inspired to create useful items using locally-sourced, eco-friendly materials, she began to make and sell products featuring her unique drawings and designs. Starting with just a few products and her original patterns, Shawn Sargent Designs opened her retail shop and workspace on July 7, 2015, in downtown Glen Ellyn. Engaging with customers, participating in shows and downtown events, and working to grow her business has inspired even more ideas for new products, designs and new directions. Her company now offers more than a dozen different product lines, all designed, sourced and made in the USA, with the goal of making your "everyday" a little brighter, easier and more joyful.
